Again in 2017, Alliance members are invited to use a Willard Bond artwork — FREE — to promote your hospice regattas.

This year’s image, “Battle at the Mark,” captures the excitement of sailboat racing in Bond’s distinctive style.

You can download a low-resolution JPG file of “Battle at the Mark” now from the Members-Only section of the Alliance website. Your regatta can use the image on your website, in newsletters or other print pieces, or on t-shirts or other souvenir regalia items, to help generate more interest and produce more revenue for hospice. (You also have access to a high-res TIF file better suited to producing posters or regalia.)

From 1994 until his death in 2012, Bond generously allowed hospice regattas to use his art to support their efforts to raise funds for and awareness of local hospice services.

Before the 2017 hospice regatta season gets underway, the Alliance will also be offering members high-quality but low-cost posters and note cards featuring “Battle at the Mark.” Whether you sell them, offer them at auction or as gifts or awards, Bond posters have proven popular at many regattas. The note cards, undated, make excellent gifts or thank-you cards.

Willard Bond and Hospice Regattas

Willard-Bond
Williard Bond, Hospice Benefactor

Acclaimed marine artist Willard Bond was said to “paint the wind.” In countless paintings and prints, he depicted sailing and racing scenes, and he was delighted to allow hospice regattas and the Alliance to use his art.

If you were never fortunate enough to meet Willard in person, take a few minutes to watch him talk about hospice, hospice regattas and his art in this short video from a 2010 gallery opening.
